My first few memories from long ago are from a block where my father was posted. It consists of the song "chale aana tu paan ki dukaan pe" which used to be blaring from faraway shop in the village. I was the head goon of my gang. We played with bows & arrows (mine had tar at their tips) made by my father's orderly, Sarju. Kitty and kaju were my first two friends. kaju and I were so inseparable at that time that we were nicknamed laila-majnu by aunties.
At the age of four, we shifted to Giridih, where most of my good memories were formed. Climbing up and down the trees, jumping off the walls, playing cop and thieves, all those games we used to invent. Me being a tomboy was the only girl in our group. Shashank, Gautam, me, Jackie, Mithu n others used to play cricket. Everyday after school we used to meet up at 4 pm without fail.
Birthdays were always special occasion. All my friends and family were invited. Cake, music and games were a must. My birthdays were anticipated in the family with preparation beginning far in advance. So were Ruchi's, Urvashi's, Shalwi's & Prity's Birthdays. Full of fun & laughter.
By the way I missed introducing Bhavya... She has been my best friend since we were 5 yr old kids. Shalwi me n urvashi were cycling partners... Cycling away in the hilly roads.... And in other days it used to be me, Shashank & Gautam (my cousin). Discovering new roads and alleys...
I miss my childhood days!!
Next is my post on school life..
cya all.. till then tc
